During NP clinical practicum experiences, we identify, as nurses, many health care issues that need to be addressed at the local, state, or national level. Addressing the need for change in health care policy is now an intricate part of your role as a social change agent.

For this Discussion, you will identify a change needed in your community and what your nursing legacy for positive social change will be.

Consider the health care issues and deficits you have recognized in your professional practice.

Identify a change needed in your community in health care policy and discuss how you could impart change during your career as an NP.

Consider your future as a NP and what your nursing legacy will be. How will you impart Social Change?

By Day 3

Post a change needed in your community and an explanation for how you will begin to implement that change. Then, share with your colleagues a brief explanation of what your nursing legacy will be and how will you impart Social Change.

Education system and new awareness programmes have a crucial role in strengthening the healthcare system especially in nursing for designing, implementing, evaluating and revising nursing educational syllabus with addition of new issues. Several research reports and expert suggests that educators in nursing sectors are in continuous efforts to introduce changes to the nursing processes for the improvement of healthcare system. The nurse educators have significant role in introducing new strategies with the significant changes, which will change management system to evade resistance.

New strategies and challenges should be undertaken in various training and implementation of effectiveness programmes. Events should be undertaken to cover the following aspect for the betterment of healthcare system such as: accountability; achievement orientation; collaboration strategies; development of communication skills; financial skills development; impact and influence of new system in healthcare; innovative thinking; awareness of organisation; how to build up self-confidence; strategic orientation; Leadership skills with teamwork etc.

Behind every great hospital health care managers who keep things running. Health care administrations are responsible for supervision of several important areas such as quality of care and budgeting. Health-care administrations have make changes in community. The training event should highlights on the several aspects of health systems management systems which can illustrate the leadership and general management of hospitals and health care system. Healthcare professionals should be up-to-date with the latest developments commitment to their profession for the betterment of healthcare system. Nurses should be more accountable with implementation of primary nursing led to improved healthcare system.

As like others field healthcare is also significantly impacted by rapid technological development and social change. New technologies should be implemented in nursing sector also for the managing the change so as to optimize health care in the emerging system, nurses need to have all the necessary qualities and skills to implement the change successful.
