An analysis of how the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis might affect netflix and its marketing strategy
Netflix is a streaming app at which people can watch worldwide shows, movies, web series and many more things. Marketing strategy is the strategy of the firm to be long term stable in the market with the aim of achieving competitive advantage.
Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis might affect netflix both positively and negatively. Because of the quarantine period, people have to stay home and they will spend more time on netflix and more people will buy the subscription of netflix to spend their spare time. That will increase the revenue of the Netflix company. But, Covid-19 has affected the future growth of the netflix completely. It posponed the upcoming shows of the netflix for a very long period of time and they will be no longer be available to provide new content to the people. Covid-19 will also lead to financial crisis to the people. So, they might not buy the further subscription of the netflix to save their money. These reasons will also affect the revenue of the netflix negatively.
