Comparative advantage refers to the economys ability to produce goods and services at a lower opportunity cost than others.A comparative advantage gives a company the ability to sell goods and services at a lower price than its competitors and realize stronger sales margins.
The principle can be applicable to different fields in real life.Even in a church,we can see the principle play out.The church, which is an association of human person's ,can entirely capture the power of comparative advantage.
Church leaders have made use of this principle very well from the begining itself
*Apostles concentrated in prayer and their mission was to spread God's word all around the world
*The elders shepherded the local Church.
* Deacons were choose to a fill a role of service to the church
This is the basic idea of comparative advantage. When people focus on doing what they do better to other people, more is accomplished and more value is created because the costs what we are lower.
Even now In the case of church ,we can see that, every individual with in the church community has a unique role gifted by the God .
* A pastor is the leader of the Christian congregation. He also gives advice and counsel to people from the community or congregation.
*A Praise band leader is responsible for helping people immerse themselves into worship
*Meal servers take responsibility of serving meals and refreshments to all guests who visit.
*Children's ministry get the opportunity to help the children grow for a lifetime.
So it's clear that there is division of labour as well as specialisation of labour existing in the church .Due to the existence of comparative advantage, the what ever is produced will be higher than what we need. The excess produce can be sold to those who has a disadvantage in the work we do and we get payment or income from the sale. The income we received can be used to overcome our own comparative disadvantage.
The principle of comparative advantage can be applied to even those who have faith that they are called to fulfill their roles, using their gifts to work for the glory of God and spread his messages.
