Behind all the controversy which came into the picture was due to "Cody Wilson" who resigned from the defense distributed. He was caught for making the 3D guns.

These guns are made up of plastic and are the replica of original guns. They are just the replica and they cannot blast away as the normal guns. But there is a problem with these guns that we can use steel nail as the firing pin which could be dangerous.

It means that it has the capability as that of the original gun but at a lower scale. This actually raised a lot of concerns because these guns are untractable by metal detectors used at the airport. Thus this was a security concern as well.

These guns were just like ghost guns as there is no serial number present on these guns, as they were not getting made under some regulation and one does not need any license to carry these.

Thus for the above reason, it raised a security concern.
