When a rubber rod is rubbed with fur, the rod becomes negatively charged because of the transfer of:
a) electrons to the fur
b) protons to the fur
c) electrons to the rod
d) protons to the rod
The fur start out as a negatively charged object and when it is rub upon the rods, then the rod becomes negatively charges. It does not say in the question whether or not the rod had a charge, but since it say that it becomes negatively charge after it has been rub on the fur, so the fur would have to transfer it's electrons to the rod for it to become negative.
The correct answer is C, electrons to the rod would be tthe transfer of the charge.
