It has been speculated that gravity does not truly exist as a force in itself, but is instead a manifestation of the electrostatic force, which is the force responsible for the repulsion of like-charges and the attraction of opposite charges. Do you believe this is a credible theory? Why or why not. What experiment could you devise to test this theory?
The electric forces are responsible for the attraction of opposite charges and repulsion of like charges.
It is because of electrons and protons. The magnitude of both charges are opposite.
Electric force also called coloumb force.it is the strongest force existing.
Yes,of ofcousre this is an incredible theory as coloumb force is the strongest force exciting.
Like gravitational force is always attractive so if coloumb force or electric force is not there the world would collapse attracting everything.
So,the electric force brings balance in nature.it follow the inverse square law.
You could just do a very basic and a simple experiment to test this theory.
If u comb your hair on a dry day and bring the comb near small pieces of paper, the comb attracts the pieces.
Because when we comb our hair it gets positively charged by rubbing.when the comb is bought near the pieces of paper some of the electron accumulate at the edge of paper piece which is closer to comb.at,the farthest end positive charge appear due to induction.
Hence, the net attraction we will absorb from one side of comb with paper pieces.
Showing the existence of electric forces or electromagnetic forces.
