1. Camp David Accords

· were a pair of political agreements signed by Egyptian President Anwar Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin on 17 September 1978

· President Carter’s proposals for the eventual accord beween Egypt and Israel happened at Camp David, the official country retreat

· It formally ended the state of war that had existed between the two countries
