Give an example in the society you are from to illustrate the authorized heritage discourse that constitutes and legitimizes what heritage is within a certain society. (500 words)
Heritage is the culture kept alive from generation to generation, it can be social values virtues and places of historical importance. A society follows certain rules and ceremonies that comes from their forefathers, without knowing when did it actually started that became a tradition and is heritage in form of rituals and performance.
The heritage reflects our past, its glory, and culture. when there were no proper words like we had had today the carvings on the wall with flowers, animals or human beings was their language of representing their views and culture. They are the treasures.
I am from Arab culture. The word Arab gives a feeling that it is related to one particular religion. It is not so, the Arabs history is very ancient history it refers to culture and language. The Arab follows mainly Islam as their religion. Arabs have many places related to various prophets from ancient time. Arabs culture is a revolving round the Quran and Sharia. Arab world consists of 22 Arab countries of the Arab League.
The buildings and monuments are very important in knowing the culture, for example, the pyramids, these are from the time of Moses, representing the strength of wealth and tradition of past history. The secrets of pyramids still unknown to us. The museums are the source of historical knowledge. The utensil the dresses and even some rare monuments show the richness of our forefather's cultures.
Heritage sites are a good source of generating income, so the governments and people who care and love their heritage take interest in preserving it. It has the far-reaching effect it is a platform for any activities and cultural gathering. It reflects the past history and its effects as a lesson to be learned
Heritage is tangible and intangible it reflects our traditional songs, music and many more aspects of the life of which we are not aware but follows as tradition. The tangible heritages are the houses and playgrounds and many more places that have historical values.
The petrol gave birth to modern Arab the traditionally Arabs have become millionaires the small huts and places are replaced by huge buildings and modern amenities. The Arabs of thousands century BC is now a modern Arab.
The education is spreading and more Arabs are going to other countries for education and business purpose that has given rise to multicultural Arabs.
