as a fraud examiner  how you would interview a suspect that you believe is misappropriating inventory or equipment at your workplace. Give specific examples of what you would say to the suspect during the interview.

Purpose of Interview a Suspect:- As an Fraud examiner, my duty is not only to identify the suspect but also to quantify the value of theft. an additional but most important duty is to ensure prevention of theft in future.

Main purpose to Interview the suspect is to obtain information and to record confessions.

Following are some basic points you have to ask as Fraud examiner:-

1. Can you please explain what you knows about this theft?
2. At what time you left the place of incidence? did you notify any of your senior while leaving office space?
3. How dose it make you feel, If i put an allegation on you? How do you respond to such allegation?
4. Once all the questions asked above answered by suspect, all the evidences and available facts must be put to the suspect and allow him to go through with it.
5. Enquire the reason behind such misappropriation. also ask him to ensure that is this misappropriation happen first time or done earlier also.
6. Compute accumulated value of theft and record the same in front of suspect.
7. Remind him about the internal action to be done as per company policy (e.g. Termination from employment, recovery of loss and penalty etc.)
8. Put all the legal & criminal consequences for such type of misappropriation to suspect.
9. ask the suspect that how he got so much courage to commit such misappropriation and ask to ensure that he is only the person who is involved in such theft or someone else also doing the same.
10. an opportunity of being heard must be given to the suspect. all the statements given by suspect must be recorded and examined thoroughly by the fraud examiner.
