FRX set clear conditions to which a steering committee used methods to ensure an answer to the very important question “why this project important?”, and, furthermore, it ensured that we are able to quantify and follow up on the results of their operations in a meaningful way. The model to answer the question itself was not the goal– it is the completion of project that set the standard but also using a simple method to give the project manager and the project organization space to “deliver the goods” in the project and at the same time focus on the realization of process improvement effects which gave credibility to the work, as the conditions and clarifications as for the calculations are qualified to meet the designated budget of $550,000. At the project implementation, the key task for the analysts was to reduce complexity and define roles in the project. With the strong involvement of stakeholders, experts, and the CEO all involved themselves as parts of an organization need to see the value of the planned change.
1. Give three examples of your preferred method implementation tools.
2. Give three examples of how you would quantify the project schedule and plan.
3. Provide an example In your opinion on how would you manage the debt of the company versus the tools to your disposal in the company value of the stock price that is the overhaul capital of the company.
1) Three examples of project implementation tools are Gantt Chart, Logic Network and PERT Chart. Gantt chart is a widely used project management chart that helps in monitoring tasks over time. It helps in representing the phases, tasks, milestones and resources involved as part of a project. This chart tracks both time and interdependencies between the tasks. Furthermore, a logic network shows the sequence of activities required to complete a project within a specified time. It represents which activity logically precedes or follows another activity, thus, helping to understand the dependencies in workflow, timescale and project. Besides, a PERT chart or Program Evaluation and Review Technique can be defined as a method for analysing tasks that are involved in completing a particular project. It identifies the time needed to complete each task and further recognizes the minimum time that is required for completing the total project.
2) The project schedule and plan can be quantified with the help of three measures, namely, cost performance, schedule performance and cycle time. Cost performance, a measure of cost efficiency, is determined by dividing the earned value of the work performed by the actual costs involved for accomplishing such value. It helps the organization in efficient allocation of its capital, mitigates financial risk and reduces the cost of capital. Furthermore, schedule performance is the ratio of the total time allotted for completing the project to the total final duration. It helps in meeting the time-to-market windows with an accurate forecast of the schedule. Cycle times help in identifying the length of time taken to complete any of the tasks involved in the project life cycle. The project life cycle determines the beginning and end of the project and the time taken to complete this life cycle is the cycle time.
3) The strategy of recapitalization would help manage the debt of the company. It helps in restructuring the debt and equity mixture of a company to stabilize its capital structure. This strategy is beneficial in case of higher interest payments that are due for the company. Recapitalization reduces the level of debt by trading in debt for equity, which in turn, improves the overall financial well being of the company. Furthermore, it helps in keeping share prices from going down by swapping equity for debt and consequently, by pushing the stock price up.
