Since accounting is the language of business, why do you think it will be important as a business person to be able to speak the language fluently? What would be the consequence of not knowing the language very well?
It is important for a business person to be able to speak the accounting language fluently. It is because it would provide the idea to the client and employees that the business person has the knowledge about the things happening in the company so they won’t be able to cheat the person by using heavy jargons. It would ensure that the company and its employees do not deviate from the goals and responsibilities assigned to them since the business person would be having a great idea of the business affairs. It would strengthen the goodwill and brand equity of the company for its stakeholders.
There could be following consequences of not knowing the accounting language very well:
1. The business person would not be having any idea about where the business is heading.
2. He won't be aware of the financial position of his company.
3. He won't be in a better position to direct and manage his employees.
