A- It's possible that the contradicting factors may have happened because of how the Leadership Award was awarded. Looking at the outside of the business, they do have impressive numbers with Minorities and Women, as they have a high percentage of Leadership roles in the company. The EEOC would look at individuals in the business like they did in this case.
B- Companies need to understand that people will always age and the people in their leadership positions will continue. L'Oreal needs to look at how time changes, but also keep their older customers. I think they could still do television advertisement as the Older generation doesn't using social media as much compared to the newer generation.

A- Yes, There could be contradicting factors but leaders are the ones who can create a diverse culture at workplace. They lead by example so if they create inclusive and promote diversity at workplace then Organization will not face any kind of diversity related issue. At work, There could be miniorities like Female employees, Black employees, Older employees etc but leadership role is to promote such diversity so that Situation like discrimination will not arise and EEOC will not have opportunity to investigate such issue which would not be there is diversity is promoted and minorities are respected. This can be done if leader implement written policies for diversity and inclusion at workplace.
B- Yes, Time does not stop for anyone but Companies can adapt themselves with time and situation. Company can look at both type of customers old and yound and use their marketing medium to target both type of customers. New generation especially milennials are on social media and Older generation like Baby boomers or Gen X not use social media. Company can have option to use other methods like TV commercial, Magazine, newspapers etc. Such decisions should be taken by leaders at right time.
