What should Apple and Google do differently to develop their capabilities in a “flat world”?
Flat world concept in marketing was explained by Fried man in his book World is flat. Apple and Google are high end technology based companies.In this era of digitalization fragmented new age marketing can do a lot of things. It helps in customising the customer requirements and predict their needs for the future well in advance.More direct target marketing is one major scope of flat world where technology and product companies like Google and Apple can definitely create more wonders. Many conceptual products can be tested and well crafted and can be directed to the market which can surpass many geographical and cultural constraints..The flat world has enormous opportunity for target segmentation. Apple should focus on their products on digitalization which replaces many traditional gadget which can reduce the effort in scheduling , controlling and monitoring various activities . Google should use the flat world fragmented marketing approach on technologies like augmented reality for better experience of their service to the customers.
