So how exactly would you define wisdom?
Here's a taking off point. Let's say you are in a public place, a bar, a mall, a party, or a street, minding your own business. You look across the mall, the bar, the party, or the street and there you see your best friend's boyfriend, girlfriend, significant other with someone else, and I really mean with someone else. What would you do and why would you do it? In posting your answer, please take the following into consideration:
a. Would your friend really want to know, and would that matter?
b. What other factors would you want to take into consideration?
c. Would there be such a thing as the wisest course of action? How could that be defined?
If you have had experience with this kind of situation, you may draw on that within the limits of the topic of discussion.
REMEMBER to Stay on Topic.
Wisdom is the capability of utilizing one's knowledge and experience in order to think properly and make better decisions and judgments, about others and oneself in life.
If i see my best friend's boyfriend, girlfriend or significant other with someone else, i think it will be wise to not judge him or her on the basis of what i have seen. Looking at a situation from a distance neither provides a clear and complete picture about the scenario nor about the best friend's boyfriend, girlfriend or significant other. Partial knowledge does not even help to understand what exactly happened between two individuals. It only promotes contemplations, speculations and negative and pessimistic thoughts about the two individuals viewed together. So, the wisest course of action will be to talk to the boyfriend, girlfriend or significant other about the matter, instead of pointing fingers at him or her. Conversations or communication will help to know the exact situation, the two concerned individuals were in. The other factors which i will take into consideration are whether my best friend knows about the boyfriend, girlfriend or significant other, whether she will be interested to know about the boyfriend, girlfriend or significant other, whether she will believe me nor not and who was exactly my best friend's boyfriend, girlfriend or significant other. If still i will not be convinced with the boyfriend's, girlfriend's or significant other's explanations, i will communicate what i saw to my best friend, so that she or he will be able to keep a close watch on the activities of the boyfriend, girlfriend or significant other. This will help my best friend to make wise decision to be or not to be with the boyfriend, girlfriend or significant other for her entire life. This makes a fact clear that wisdom can further promote wisdom or wise decisions in one's life. In this case, wisdom can be defined as the ability to make good decisions that will promote further wisdom.
It does not matter to me whether my best friend would want to know about the boyfriend, girlfriend or significant other. I think it will be wise to intimate him or her about what i saw and what were the boyfriend's, girlfriend's or significant other's explanations. This is only because i care for her and therefore i will not be able to keep her in the dark. For my best friend, i would want the best partner in life, who would be loyal to her and be for her in good and bad times. So, it will be wise for her to judge the boyfriend, girlfriend or significant other, meticulously, based on knowledge and evidence.
I had similar experiene in my life. I saw my husband talking and laughing with a girl in a coffee shop. But i again acted wisely. I did not become suspicious of my husband, instantly. Instead, i had a conversation with him, regarding this matter. This conversation helped me to get my facts clear. I came to know that the girl whom i saw with my husband at the coffee shop, was just a business associate. It was a formal meeting, mixed with the element of humour, to impress the associate and grab a business deal with her. It would indeed have been unwise to casually judge my husband, based on partial understanding of the situation.
