Consider whether each of the following practices is appropriate or inappropriate for the age level, according to the principles of Piaget and contemporary researchers following in his tradition. Question 1 A high school science teacher asks students in a chemistry lab to answer thequestion “Does water boil faster when more heat is applied?” He gives them the equipment theyneed and shows them how to use it safely, and he monitors their procedures to make sure theyare following his safety guidelines. The students are able to conduct their investigations fairlyindependently, but seem to benefit from the teacher’s occasional guidance about how they mightmodify their procedures for clear-cut results. Piaget clearly explained about the stages of childhood in 3 different class and gave example based on the cognitive mind development of his 3 children.

According to him the question 1 which discussed about the doubt of students of class 10 was inappropriate because he thinks that child at this age can start thinking of his own and take decision without any help and also do miracle in their way of thinking and possess a wide horizon of thought.

The second case was inappropriate according to his research and theory because his theory was clearly telling about the mind and development of this age group child. As the girl child was not enough mature with brain that she can take a decision on act like throwing a toy is a good deed or not or who will scold her after this, definitely she is going to do something random like this when her request if not entertained and she is not knowing the consequence also as she cannot think in this manner. They just think about present situation and do act on it.

Question regarding third grade student is inappropriate as they can take decision on the fact that somebody is not telling logical fact and how it can be possible to push mountain. They are grownup to the level where they can think of the environment and nearby things which they see.

Question related to Columbus voyage was totally inappropriate as the children was of class one and they cannot think about the cause and action of some situational fact. They have not seen the world much and how people react to situation like this as they never experience things in outer world.so they will be unable to answer.
