"Trust at Work"
Trust at work is related to how trustworthy a person whether an employee, manager or CEO is at his/her workplace. Trust at work can be developed through interpersonal skills, making and accomplishing commitments and through a work history that is based on respect and dignity. Also, facilitating and encouraging communication through feedbacks and discussion helps in earning trust at work.
Trust at work helps in increasing the cohesiveness in the teams, departments and reduces conflicts and misunderstandings between members of the team.
An example of Trust at work can be when the boss asks for reports from various team members to be submitted before noon. While all the employees submit reports, the boss doesn't find the report of one employee and gets angry at him. If one employee who is aware that the fellow employee had submitted his report on time decides to speak up in his defense, knowing that it may bring the boss' wrath upon him, he earns the trust at work. Because of his honesty and integrity.
