In about 150 words, discuss the conflicting goals and give example from the real business world.
Conflicting goals occurs when the goals of different employees in business conflict with each other. These often arise due to the poor or lack of communication, closed-mindedness, misunderstandings and passive-aggressive behaviour. For example:
-- One employee might state that their goal is to get their work completed as fast as possible, and on contrast the other employee in the same department tell that their goal is to do task to the utmost of their efficiency, regardless of speed
-- The manager may need a report from an employee by noon in order to relieve their own specific deadlines but that employee is already pre-occupied a different report that they need to submitted by noon to someone else.
--An accountant can’t perform the task and report the financial statements without all the figures. If any employee is not timely reporting as he is busy with other reports it will affects the accountant’s ability to meet the deadlines
