Climate change raises the issue of intergenerational equity. It can cause extremely serious implications for equity between ourselves and future generation. It also affects our capacity to achieve sustainable development goals. Economic instruments have developed to satisfy the needs of present generation but these are not sufficient for addressing equity issues in future generation. It is very important to address climate change as it can affect the future generation needs. Though intergenrational rights to healthy environment is protected by most of the countries constitution but serious implementation is required. The damage caused by the changing climate cannot fulfilled easily. Hence its required to take serious steps in direction of sustainable development worldwide. Elaborate and codified norms relevant to intergenerational equity should be form. Also, public consciousness should be raised and educated people about environmentally sustainable development.
