Answer:
Here, we are taking a real situation of mistake by an employee.
Position:
Our company store-keeper has made delivery of product personally to the employee of one of our client without bill, through on urgent basis, and do not get the Excise Duty entry by the Supervisor (Excise) at the company. The Store-keeper received the payment check while making the delivery and feel safe on delivery.
Agree or disagree:
We all disagree with the act of the Store-keeper because without any order he made the delivery which is totally unethical on his part. Moreover, he delivered without bill and Excise entry, if this act was caught by the Excise & Taxation authority, the company would be penalised heavily. One more risk was attached with the act that the payment check could be fack one. To be correct, the store-keeper has to refer the client to the sales and on receiving "Material-out advise" from sales department, has to deliver the goods after excise entry and proper billing with adequate receiving from the person to whom the product.
Defence from Store-keeper:
He defended by saying that he had sold the company's product to its existing client by taking the payment. As the requirement is on the urgent basis, so the billing and excise entry could be possible after delivery. As per Store-keeper, he had made a sale for the company and earned revenue. He do not have words for the situation, if the material was caught by the Authorities without payment of Excise duty.
The position is being handled by the Store-keeper very much unauthorised and unethical. The Store-keeper was penalised by the Company's management and he was taken away from the store, so he no more a Store-keeper and doing the official work.
