What advice would you give him?

Solutions

Expert Solution

Some of the advices I would like to give to James are as follows -

1) Clearify in your mind before the party that what is your objective and what kind of people you would like to interact with.

2) Be ready with the topics or questions you are going to ask to the people you're interacting with, during the party. The questions must be appropriate and related to the event.

3) Dressing sense plays a very important role in making a good impression. Make sure that your dressing sense is formal and impressive and you like an experienced and talented salesperson.

4) Before falling into the conversation with the people, firmly shake the hands in a delightful manner.

5) During the conversation, be confident, keep smiling and spread the positive vibes.

6) Be a patient listener too. Just keep asking questions makes them insecure. Listens to their interest and experiences and applause them.

James has just jumped out of an airplane. After he opens his parachute he experiences 2 forces: the constant force of gravity, and a wind drag that is proportional to his velocity. His height may therefore follow the equation: d2h/dt2 = -9.8 - 2(dh/dt). As a second-order differential equation, this is not technically solvable by separation of variables. However, because the variable h appears only in its derivatives, we can turn this into a first-order equation, and solve that by...
