context important in selecting and applying guidelines and principles for interface design?

Expert Solution

Context is always important in selecting and applying guidelines and principles for interface designs.Whenever an user sees some different designs in an application, he tends to apply the same method/ logos/segments to his application.

So, whenever changing some requirements within an application one has to keep in mind that we are following our main context of the interface of applications. There may be many trends that are followed in the market but the one which has followed it's context and fulfilling the user requirements will get good response from users.

That means Users should not have to spend time on interaction and wondering different words within the application. So, the developers has to use normal plain language while designing these kind of application. The main focus here is to concentrate on the context of the application and respond to the user different cases based on the context that is defined before building the application.

It is nothing but waste of time if we built an application without any goal/purpose/context.It is like going to place which you don't know. Apart from time there can be more wastage of the resources along with it.

The main confusion occurs when people are unable to unite the information they receive , so the ultimate solution is that the application has to take care these automation things whenever it is possible.
