What is the partial pressure of oxygen when this mixture is delivered at a total pressure of 8.4 bar ?
I got 0.042 and it says its wrong.
moles of O2 = 2 / 32 = 0.0625
moles of He = 98 / 4 = 24.5
total moles = 24.5 + 0.0625
= 24.5625
mole fraction of O2 = moles of O2 / total moles
= 0.0625 / 24.5625
= 0.00254
partial pressure of O2 = mole fraction x total pressure
= 0.00254 x 8.4
= 0.0213
partial pressure of O2 = 0.0213 bar
