My name is Aman and i did my Bachelor of Arts and B.ed first then i completed Masters of English Literature and D.ed. I have two years teaching experience in college as an assistant lecturer.
The instructions are below:
For this Intellectual Autobiography (should not be copied/ Strictly Please 800-1200 WORDS), I would like you to reflect on your life as a learner, thinker, and scholar. It is an opportunity for you to reflect upon and articulate the circumstances and events that brought you to where you are today, in graduate school. In general, I would like to know more about:
Your academic background, not just your credentials and your institution(s), but also the topics of interest that you have explored, your research and scholarship experience, and your overall experience as a student. You could write about your identity as a student, how your personal identities are meaningful to your experiences as a student and your “relationship” with learning, and your perspective on your role as a student in relation to professors. Broadly, you could address this question: How do you perceive your role as a student? What are the cultural / social origins of those perceptions?
1 What interests you academically? What aspects of the world have intrigued or confused you that you have explored, or would like to explore?
2 What brought you here? What circumstances led you to choose graduate school – at Lakehead University, of all places.
3 Your expectations for graduate school, meaning what you expect to contribute to it and what you hope to gain from it. Again, do not focus on the credential. Focus on the experience.
Use “I” and “me”.
1) My interests are goals for attaining effective teaching and excellence in academic tenures. My aim is to narrow the gap in the development of educational curriculum and studies among students belonging to different race, ethnicity, religion and community background. An indepth analysis of the teacher work in literature and its difference with the material perspectives in life.
2) I am interested in understanding the role of behavioral psychology in the development of teaching education across many universities and colleges throughout the world. My aim is to improve the scores of students in the test scores throughout the world. I am interested in understanding the cognitive ability in education with delivery of qualitative standards in teaching in various colleges and universities throughout the world. It is a reflective process.
3) My first experience in teaching includes a brief introduction to students in class where I found that students were hardly interested in what was mentioned in the books. It was a vague experience where the students just went through the pages and were more interested in using their past knowledge to write in the exams. It was a reflective experience while teaching students in class. The students has only a basic knowledge of every subject which they had during their preparation for some exams and were not interested in attaining knowledge in depth. They were accepting to write the same answers for every subject no matter in whatsoever depth the question was asked. It is mentioned in the books like Reflective Practitioner and How we think which mentions the strategies used by teachers to make their students effective in reflective thinking in the society. Reflective thinking is the ability to think and acquire new knowledge to sustain the growing changes and developments in the education system. Further an analysis should be made on how the education system and reflective inner thinking has helped in reaching scientific excellence. Whether it has helped in bridging the gap in the level of education among students studying in the same class but belonging to different race, culture and ethnic background.
4) As a teacher, a person should understand the complexities of the curriculum of children and to find ways to handle the courses and schedules on time.Effort should be made to make students understand subjects in an easy way without getting preoccupied in the instructions authority. This can lead to teacher burnout in colleges and universities. It is important for teachers to think on their work rather than concentrating on other extracurricular work for students which can be handled by students themselves. There should not be social concept and end of means concept in teaching just for the sake of attaining a degree rather emphasis should be put on how the educational course can be handled. The other important perspectives include the outcome and career goals after receiving that education in various colleges and universities. Education should be related to professional consequences in life rather than personal consequences in life. There should be internal motivation, confidence and desire in educational teachers to provide academic course training to students without indulgence in other activities. It is part of inner conscientious motivation with reflection on the personal front of teacher to think about various strategies to educate children and make them aware about the positive effects of attaining success in life. The education learning system should be transparent without discrimination of caste, sex, religion, community and racial discrimination in life. There should be an equal opprotunity to learn without facing any kind of discrimination in life. There should be an interaction among students with discussion of the learning strategies in life. Dewey has worked on the performance of students based on their inner thinking, emotional wellbeing and critical thinking of various situations in life.Moon has defined reflective thinking as a mental process with possible thinking of outcome in life. There is a process of problem based learning which allows students to form small groups and discuss the important process in life depicting inner reflective thinking. According to Salomon and Perkin (1989) helps in the understanding of the inner reflections in life, learning and problem solving abilities can be applied again to solve various problems in life, and new knowledge to the understanding of various principles in life. There are various strategies of learning like rehearsal, organisation and elaboration in life of various tasks with development of methodologies to solve problems in life. These skills help in the development of abstract thinking, logical reasoning and critical thinking in life. Various school tests were organised in schools to test the potential of children to perform in exams. The assessment was made on the ability of a student to perform in exams and the ability of the other students to perform in the exam compared on a scaling index. The students were divided into two groups one group is the control scientific group and the other is the experimental research group.
