If the purpose of business and strategic plans are to obtain funding, would you be impressed enough to fund projects proposed on the strength of them alone? If not, what else is needed to get you to "cross the line?" Please provide a response in 300 words.
No, I would not be impressed enough on the strategic plans of a company which are meant to obtain findings alone. For me to invest in a project, I need to know about the project, details like what the project is about, how it will be completed, how the company plans to organize its resources for the project, who will be handling the project, what the project will change in the short term as well as long term for the stakeholders and so on.
Just obtaining funding would mean that the company is more interested in getting financial gains or money from the people rather than providing something valuable to the consumers and society in general. While this may become a short term success, in the long run, no company can survive on such a business purpose.
Therefore, I would rather invest on a project that seeks to develop the industry or meet the demands of the consumers in some manner. Because, ultimately, any project can be successful only when it provides a good return on the investement.
