You are managing an HR Department that is based out of Vancouver and has a mixture of recruiters, HR consultants, and payroll staff. You silently take stock of your situation and marvel at how lucky it has been to grow with a company that has really appreciated your contributions. You have been given the unique opportunity to develop a 'greenfield' site for a new location in Montreal. A greenfield site means that the entire location is new, including employees, managers, structure and practices. You want to ensure that the new office supports self-directed work teams, unlike the Calgary, Vancouver, and Toronto offices which mainly focus on individual performance. Describe four different elements of the organizational and team environment that you need to consider that influence team effectiveness. As, We are into the phase of developing a Greenfield site for a new location in Montreal, again, Green Field Location is typically entirely new, cause it includes complete new structure, new team like New managers and New Employees, new work setup, thus policies and procedures are made new to suit such new work setup and new Infrastructure, again, new green field project area demands employee to be self directed work teams, their individual performance or contributions would be taking key role, now let me Explain about four different elements of the organizational and team environments that we must consider as all such elements will influence team effectiveness within the Green Field Environment, those are stated below:

  • The Most Important Element of the organizational and team environments is about the defining Roles, responsibilities of the entire team members, keeping every one much aware on the objective of the organization, keeping them on the same page before executing any task, as well as we must identify training requirements for each team member, so every team member should be much aware and confident about their job, they should create a map regarding how they will do functioning their work, all these will help people to increase their accountability and ownership within the Green field Job Environment,
  • Every team members must be having high level of adaptability for working in a changing environment, they must be flexible in their work approach, as green field environment can be highly sensitive and may have to go through series of changes, strategic planning may need to be modified over time, Organization may need to adjust their goal and various associated task accordingly, thus, team members must keep adaptability, which is regarded as Important element of the organizational and team environments, which will help them to meet any new challenges,
  • Another Important element of the organizational and team environments is Commitment and Trust, as Green Field Project or Infrastructure need every team member to be more dedicated and be trustful for achieving the organizational Strategic objective or goals, they must provide logical time and energy which create better connectivity within the team, thus, all such will help team members to reduce any applicable gaps regarding the work knowledge and understanding, create better cultural environment and reduce any kind of unbalanced workloads,
  • Keeping active contribution and leadership with accountability, is also important element of the organizational and team environments, as Team members should have good leadership strength and everybody should be accountable for achieving strategic objective and goals of the workplace/ Green filed work site, as Leadership brings many solutions, creativity, maintain timeliness, high sense of spirit in performing the task, thus, we want leadership and active contribution from each team members for pursuing the regular activities within green field work site
