Ben, the nurse practitioner, believes Mr. Smith should take his pain medication after his physical therapy session, and Jerry, his physical therapist, believes the patient should take his pain medication before his physical therapy session. Tom, a physical therapy assistant, and Jerry, the physical therapy supervisor, are not in agreement about when to schedule Mr. Smith's physical therapy session. Jerry wants Tom to take Mr. Smith through his routine before lunchtime, but Tom wants to do it after lunch because he's meeting a friend for an early lunch. Tom tells Jerry to do Mr. Smith's PT routine himself if he's in such a hurry to get it done. Is this task conflict or relationship conflict?

Patient Smith's wife requests that a different recliner be brought into Mr. Smith's room because the one that is there now is not comfortable for him. Ben's attention is divided among many tasks at that moment, so he asks Jennifer, the nurse's aide, to go get it. Jennifer has already clocked out and has her purse on her arm, ready to leave. She is normally very happy to fulfill requests like this one, but in this case, she becomes angry about the request and but is not sure how to tell Ben about her reluctance to take on the task. Ben : medication after physical therapy

Jerry : Medication before physical therapy

Here these two employees have disagreement over the task or decision, they should make. Both are having different perception of their goals. So it is a TASK CONFLICT.
