1) Walt Disney, the man the creator, had a lot of ups and downs in his life but he kept working and thinking. He never shied away from taking risk. He dreamt and he achieved.

Media and Entertainment industry is an industry which requires constant and continuous use of fresh ideas to create new shows to survive the competition.

Let us understand it with an example. How many shows can be telecasted in one day? How much man power and man hour will be required to make one show? How long should the show run? What will happen if the response to the show is not as expected and has lower viewership?

The question above seeks answers based on finance and investment. If the show is successful, it will attract advertisement and advertisement generates revenue. If there are mutiple shows of same viewership one can imagine the revenue generation. Besides the show the company can go for an IPO to get investment so that it can expand or probably acquire or take over its competitor.

This is what Disney did. He successfully created a character and ran it besides getting investment for diversification. The theme park Disneyland attracted people, children and young alike. It was a dream come true for many. Gradually the company started purchasing another media companies to further its basket and diversity of channels. It now has movie channels, cartoon channels, geographic channel and it's also producing big movies which is earning huge. Thus it is not about only sticking to one thing but constantly thinking about expansion which motivates. (260 words)

2) Internet today is the biggest disruptor. Everything is availbale today on internet and that too from many sources. Internet today provides not only topics related to education and studies but a whole lot of things like news, cartoons, music and music videos, movies. Even serials and episodes of all those series that were telecasted when internet was not there with everyone.

Apart from internet, there are new system like Netflix and Amazon Prime which is acting like another disruptor for media and entertainment industry. These things are attracting and providing platform to everyone to participate and be a part of growing audience. Even the advertisement is a huge source of revenue generation for them.

But it is also offering opportunity to media and entertainment industry. The industry is improvising and making new strategy to use the platform for itself as well. The industry has its own internet based live streaming channels, they have their own websites, they have their own social media presence. They are also changing as per requirments to adapt to circumstances and survive in this tough competition posed by internet.

They have a separate team and separate department for internet related streaming of news or discussion or episodes.

So now media and entertainment industry is not limited to only television but also has presence on internet based platforms as well and have their own websites and social media accounts through which they keep informing people and makes them aware of eveything that is happening through news and about discussion or serials.
