· Draft a clear problem statement for your problem.
It seems with every passing day we are moving closer to realize the faults held within our education system, according to a survey we are totally unprepared to make the complete shift in our education system as per the 21st century student’s needs. The statistics speaks for themselves around 97% students under low income group depends on schools and colleges for internet whereas 44 million do not even has access to it.
· How can you use the tools of problem definition to verify your problem statement?
There has been a lot happening around us, we hear and see cases about how paralysed education system has become. Will it be able to cope up the changes coming in this era, will it be sufficient to guide the student community the way it should or will it slowly collapse. There have been some alarming facts and stats that support why a need to upgrade our education system is high in demand. I will directly jump into the facts but I wanted to just overview of one new technology which is a market buzz all around i.e. Artificial intelligence. Are we really aware of the changes it could bring and are we equipped with an education system which on a later stage gives us a fruitful result.
- Around 114 million young kid’s still lack basic writing and reading skill
- 59 million kids are denier from education
- Of total teacher population only one third are trained as per national standards
- Around 15 million girls around the world will never have the opportunity to read and write, these stats is convincing and growing at a constant rate.
