Explain the term autotroph means and pick an organism from this food web that is an autotroph.
Autotroph is an organism that can produce its own food using light, water, carbon dioxide, or other chemicals, and is not dependent on other organisms to derive its nutrition. Green plants, algae, and certain bacteria are autotrophs. Because autotrophs produce their own food, they are sometimes called producers. In this food web, only grasses produce its own food and are therefore, considered as an autotroph. The other organisms are called consumers as they obtain their nutrition from one or the other organism.
