How does systematic review differ from the critical appraisal task and How is it similar?
Difference - 1. The systematic review is generally arranged in a chronological manner based on their date of publication. But no comparison of one source with the other is made. - the critical appraisal is arranged in descending order based on their date of publication.
2. Systematic review answers a defined research question by collecting and summerising all emperical evidence that fits pre-specified eligibility criteria. - critical appraisal is the process of carefully and systematically assessing the outcomes of scientific research to judge it's trustworthiness, value and relevance in a particular context.
3. Systematic review's aim is to identify and synthesize all the scolarly research on a particular topic including both published and unpublished studies. - critical appraisal's aim is to identify potential threats to the validity of the research finding from literature and provide consumers of research evidence the opportunity to make informed decision about the quality of research evidence.
