Probabilities are calculated by dividing each specific value by Total 320
For example the probability the food is Banana and Omani Production = 85 / 320 = 0.265625

Let the event A be that the food chosen is Omani Production
Let the event B be the food chosen in Pineapple
Here we need to find P(A or B) which is P(A B)
P(A B) = P(A) + P(B) - P(A B)
Probability that the food chosen is Omani Production P(A) = 0.390625 (the total of Omani Production column)
Probability that the food chosen is Pineapple P(B) = 0.359375 (the total of Pineapple row)
Probability that the food chosen is Omani production and Pineapple P(A B) = 0.125
P(A B) = P(A) + P(B) - P(A B)
= 0.390625 + 0.359375 - 0.125
= 0.625
If one food is chosen, Probability the food is Omani production or Pineapple = 0.625
Question (b)
If one food is chosen , what is the probability the food is banana giving that it is External production
Let the event A be that the food chosen is Banana
Let the event B be the food chosen is External Production
Here we need to find P(A given B) which is P(A | B)
P(A | B) = P(A B) / P(B)
Probability that the food chosen is Banana and External Production P(A B) = 0.375
Probability that the food chosen is External Production P(B) = 0.609375 (the total of External Production column)
P(A | B) = P(A B) / P(B)
= 0.375 / 0.609375
= 0.615385
If one food is chosen , probability the food is banana giving that it is External production = 0.615385
