Use Reggression and inferential to answer the problem below.

A news headline states “a recent study found that the financial performance of an airline seems to be related to the time it takes for passengers to receive their baggage.” Discuss the hypothesis that they might have used and write another one that could show this to be incorrect.

Solutions

Expert Solution

Ho: There is no statistical significant relationship between the time it takes for passengers to receive their baggage and the financial performance of an airline.

HA: There is a statistical significant relationship between the time it takes for passengers to receive their baggage and the financial performance of an airline.

The first hypothesis is a claim by the researcher before conducting the study. In

statistics, this type of hypothesis is called the null hypothesis.

After the study, the null hypothesis is either accepted or rejected. The second hypothesis is dependent on the first hypothesis. It is called the alternative hypothesis. If

we reject the null hypothesis, the alternative is accepted. If we accept the null hypothesis alternative hypothesis get accepted.

In null hypothesis leading and lagging variables is used .Leading variables is baggage wait time, whereas lagging variables is Financial.

Financial results of a company would not predict baggage wait time because the direction between lag and lead are incorrectly.

Another hypothesis may be stated as ,null hypothesis is population mean time

Ho: The passenger gets their bags less than or equal to 20 min .

H1:The passenger gets their bags more than 20 min .

If this statement is true .then initial claim is false .
