Get input from someone whom you trust (a mentor) to be honest with you. Ask this person what his perception of your attitude is. Don’t make excuses for the answer he gives you. Take it to heart and consider how you might correct it.
The reflection of our attitide on others is always different as different infdividuals perceive each other in a different manner while also stating the facts that how well they are realted to each other. While I started a colloquy with one of my neighbors by asking him about what impression I have laid so far of myself on him and what does he feel about my behaviour with others, he answered clearly in a very subtle and wise fashion. He began by saying that individuals are all meant to be judged. We often judge ourselves by comparing others. Hence, we judge each other. I also have some things, judgements about your attitude which may your father or mother distinctively find mundane or totally opposite because you are different with them and different with me.
As he continued, he mentioned that he feels I am an occasional pessimist and a great thinker on the contrary. He feels that I do not perceive the situation as such but am impatient to jump to conclusions so that I can finish a kind of task I am in to move on to other while if I concentrate on the task I am presently doing may it be talking, working or even lollygag I would be thinking about other task and thus the beauty of the present task is diminished and this is what is reflected in my body language that I am always in hurry. He even suggested that I should take small intervals of break to read things, read about famous scholars, entreprenuers so that I learn the method to achieve the success I desire.
To my astonishment, this was just what I wanted to hear and that cleared everything. I am most thankful for this activity and that person who knew what to say to me the right way and that could actually impact me the way it had to.
