I shall help you to answer this question from a third-person
perspective. Let us imagine a person called Tim and that he had a
bad fight with one of his colleagues at the workplace. Let us name
Tim's colleague as Jack and let Jack be the one who is placed in
the chair. The dispute between the two was the fact that the
project presentation was supposed to be done by Tim which was
surprisingly done by Jack. The aftereffects were an appraisal in
salary for Jack on which Tim was not happy as he deserved the
appraisal due to the complete hard work he had done on completing
the project.
Jack's explanation was a sympathetic one. He said that he never had
plans for presenting the topic. He said that he was completely
innocent as his team leader called him to a room where board
members were places and were asked to proceed with the
presentation. Tim was late and Jack had no time to call Tim as
well. Jack only had a glimpse of the project and never had an
in-depth knowledge of the presentation. However, he completed the
presentation and the best part was the appreciation of the project
for both Tim and Jack by the committee. Jack also said that Tim is
due for his appraisal and would receive the same shortly.
