Imagine you are trying to rent a store from a landlord. Explain the process you will use to NEGOTIATE the terms of your lease?
The negotiation process can have the below-mentioned parts=
Starting the conversation= This can start by mentioning the ad or other mode of information about the vacant store
Having the information about the possible rent of the store= It is important to know as it will make clear the expected rent of the store and that can be negotiated hard.
Learning various factors related to the location= It is important before renting any store to have the inputs about the locality, market, basic amenities and so on so that the direct and indirect cost related to the store can be estimated
Expressing how good tenant one is= The person must exhibit his past conduct as a tenant such as payment of the rent on time, maintaining the property quite well, fully paying all the dues on time. This will create a soft and positive image of the person.
Offering the rent= Depending on the estimated rent in the locality, the person should offer the rent to the landlord if the landlord has not mentioned any amount On the hand, if the landlord has already mentioned the amount, then try to lower that amount.
Try to request of lowering the amount= This is a good ploy to lower down the rent. One can request that at present he can pay only a certain sum and in the future , there can be increment depending on the negotiated term. After negotiating had, a common ground should be obtained and if rent is within the budget, then the proposal should be accepted.
