Caterpillar, whose overseas workforce grew by 39 percent between 2005 and 2010, compared to a 7.8 percent U.S. increase, is now making insourcing moves. In last few years, Caterpillar have announced large investments in U.S. facilities.

It has announced the reshoring of manufacturing and services jobs. Hence though Caterpillar was big on outsourcinf till 2010, in recent years it is one of the quick movers to shift focus on insourcing.
