State Grice's rule of quantity completely.
Grice brings out the importance of being as informative as possible without hiding anything that one knows while sharing it with another in her Maxims. The other maxims are quality, relation and manner where quality refers to providing correct information by avoiding any misleading or false information, relation refers to the relevance of the information and manner refers to clarity and coherence. When discussing the quantity Grice suggests that people need to decide how much they know about a particular topic or how much information they have regarding a particular topic before providing it because at times we might unknowingly omit information that could be vital. Sometimes, people hide information that would make them uncomfortable and make them vulnerable. However, Grice makes it clear that one should provide all the information one has to others.
