Encourage talking among students regarding maths and class
If students about their work and have them describe why they solved a problem in a certain way , teacher gets a clue of basic requirements and changes needs to be brought.
It helps in determing what students are thinking and that can be used to guide instruction, instead of just telling students information and asking them to memorize it by rote learning.
Cooperative learning
It focuses on students working together with the teachers and each to increase the efficiency of everyone’s learning.
Both these methods would promote discussion and provide opportunity for assessment.
Classroom instruction for maths must be student centred as it is very necessary to understand how student is taking the instruction, whether instruction given is being taken by students or not. Moreover, for assessing the effectiveness of teaching, student must be kept at central position to take back the feedback .
