Answer 1 : The windows operating system has been so successful in the market because it is so easy to operate as compared to other systems in the market. The windows are user-friendly operating system. The windows is compatible with most software programs. Among the applications programs that made windows so popular was Microsoft Office. Additionally , the world of windows is filled with shareware and freeware. These are free to download and they can be used in their personal system. Windows provide many features such as ease to use and reliability. Since it was used by many business first , it naturally filtered into homes because most people are familiar with it and used to it at the office.
Answer 2 : Linux or MAC is not that much user friendly as Windows that's why it is quite difficult to access by the user. But as per the security , It is good for business purpose. Linux has almost 20% in server market. It has limited access to the market. Linux is still too tied to command line and common users almost nothing know about it. Today's people are much attracted to UI of Windows not of Linux or MAC because they are easy to use as well as easy to operate. The linux are costly as compared to Windows that is the also reason for people who can not afford.
Answer 3 : According to me , the operating systems in the future won't talk about files , folders , desktops , networks , web servers , emails and so on but they will talk about resources , businesses , administrators. Your operating system will let you connect information sources to your space in the cloud , sources which might be offer your bank , your friend or any of the information systems. The focus will be more on the device and less and less on the actual flavour of drivers or kernel you use. It will not be installed on your device but shared between all your computing device. Computing will be more personal than ever. The operating system of tomorrow will let users assemble their own applications based on what they want to do right now.
