ANSWER:

Two network design tools that we are going to discuss here are -

  • CADE
  • EDRAW

1). CADE: CADE is both a 2D vector editor and a topology cartographer. This set of Windows design tools resembles Microsoft Visio, allowing you to create your own custom diagrams and build network topologies. While this network design software could offer more automation capabilities, it has the advantage of being flexible. So, if you want complete control and prefer manual processes over automated, CADE is a good option.

It does not have any trial period and its free of cost.

2). EDRAW:

Edraw is a powerful universal diagramming application that lets you draw fishbone diagrams, flowcharts, UML diagrams, floor plans, office layouts, and more. You can create over 280 different types of diagrams, from infographics to technical drawings. With a huge library of templates and symbols at your disposal, you can start designing your network right away.

It does not have any automation capabilities as compared to CADE.

It includes 15-day trial period after that you have to pay in order to use this tool, whereas CADE is free of cost.

Therefore, we can draw conclusions that both design tools have their fair share of performace merits and demerits but CADE is more effective then EDRAW in some aspects.

If you are satisfied by my answer please give a thumbs up. Thank you.
