comment on the HR implications of the United States, Mexico, and Canada Trade Agreement.
Solution:
The trade agreement will give rise to more free trade between these countries and hence the movement of human capital within these three countries will also be higher. Thus, the businesses operating in these countries will be rise in staff, employees from other companies as well giving rise to a consolidated workforce consisting of staff and employees from all the three countries. Hence, this gives rise to the issues that can arise because of the diversity in workforce. Hence, the HR professional will have to monitor these issues carefully so that they do not affect the workforce.
The implecations for the HR would be to manage the increased diversity in the business value chain because of increase in value chain players from foreign countries thus the HR has to ensure that the diversity is managed carefully and there is a system that ensures that the diversity is managed effectively in the business value chain. Also, the HR professionals will have to consider other factors such as culture, demographic and psychographic variables because with free trade there will be more interaction with foreign businesses andhence it is desirable to understand the cultural differences and demographic differences beforehand to avoid issues because of these factors.
Hence, the HR professionals will have to deal with diversity, cultural differecnes and the psychographic differences of these regions which are demographically very different and thus this remains a very big challenege for the Hr professionals.Hence, these arethe implecations of the free trade agreement between the gievn 3 countries.
