Expert Solution

Political ethics is the practice of ethical judgments about political actions and political agents. It covers two areas. The first is the code of conduct associated with civil servants and the methods they use ethics, Policy and Legal considerations.
In other areas of political ethics, the key issue is not a conflict between means and goals, but conflicts between goals themselves. For example, in the issue of world justice, the conflict is between the demands of the state and the people on one side and the demands of all the citizens of the world. Traditionally, the claims of the nations have been favored, but over the last few years, thinkers, known as politicians, have emphasized the demands of all citizens around the world.

However, political ethics is not primarily concerned with superior justice, but an understanding of moral values in a democratic society where citizens (and philosophers) disagree on what justice is. How in a pluralistic society would all governments present a policy of gradual taxation, abortion affirmative action, universal health care and the like? Political ethics also deals with ethical issues arising from the need for political compromise, signaling, civil disobedience, and criminal sanctions.
