The company I chose for this discussion is Gatorade. It is something I have been drinking since I began playing sports which was when I was about 10 years old. As a child and now I always thought it tasted good, so I continued to drink it. The target market of Gatorade is definably athletes and teenagers. I think they make this appealing to athletes since it is considered a sports drink and they use a lot of famous athletes to show off their product. Their logo is also seen in a lot of professional sports arenas as well as high schools and colleges. I think the company does well with their identification. It is clear that they are a sports drink and they advertise themselves as so. In addition, Gatorade is seen for sale in a lot of high schools and colleges in vending machines and cafeterias to appeal to teenagers. The company also makes younger athletes feel important if they drink Gatorade just like the professional athletes do. The company is pretty successful as it so I am not sure what else they could change about themselves. However, when I get really sick, I am told to drink a lot of Gatorade to stay hydrated so maybe they could do something with that. .

What other methods could the Gatorade use to identify targets then what is listed in the above post?

People now a days emphasis more focus on their fitness and heath. Importance of fitness is growing tremendously these days . So Gatorade should not only focus on Profit maximation and sales promotion rather it should also focus on fitness of the atheletes.

To achieve its targets and objectives Gatorade first of all should reduce its price in comparision to the other competitive products like Red bull. This will force the atheletes and comman public to buy their energy drinks at lower cost.

Secondly, Gatorade should focus on the requirement of the atheletes be it professional or young atheletes , school and colleges students teachers , gym freaks etc. They are in need of high nutrients which lacks in their body all day long. If their drinks provide them such nutrients required by the body they will stick to their energy drinks itself.

Thirdly Gatorade can introduce various types flavours in the energy drinks which will attract all type of consumers specially atheletes who need energy drinks on daily basis. People all around have different taste different choices in form of flavours , quantity, quality, etc

Fourthly , Gatorade should mainly advertise its products at national televsion specially on sports channel. This will attract the view of consumers towards theirs products specially atheletes which is their targetes market.

For this discussion, I chose option two again to determine what the population proportion is for those who own an Xbox One compared to a PlayStation 4 or PC. Suppose I interview 400 people at a gaming convention, say PAX East, and asked them which game system they preferred. After I was done interviewing these people, I concluded that 160 people owned an Xbox One, while the other 240 people owned either the PlayStation 4 or a PC. I have...
