Expert Solution

I would recommend to use competency based training system . This will ideal training system which is individualised including individual performance and requires a great deal of time and research.

Competency Framework is designed by every top performing organization as this clearly depicts the level of skills required to excel in a position.

Jedi must focus on designing a competency Framework for each job profile and at each hierarchical level.

Then the next step is assessment of employees and scoring them on each skill which is mentioned in the the competency Framework. Various consulting firms can also be approached for such tasks as they have experts and well defined talent management process.

Once the individual assessment is done each employee must be reviewed , such assessment will usually consist of various tools (mainly simulation based exercise) which will give an insight into each employee's performance. Thus we can find the Areas of development of each employee and accordingly plan their training. Training can be given by hiring expert coaches or managers wo hold expertise in the identified skills (which were identified after assessment for each employee)

According to me the main task while planning a training is identifying the skills and areas in which training is to be given , as wrong analysis will waste a lot of money and valuable time which will affect productivity. So if we invest in training it shouldn be assured that it is invested at the right place .

. Suppose a PC manufacturer wants to evaluate the performance of its hard disk memory system. One measure of performance is the average time between failures of the disk drive. To estimate this value, a quality control engineer recorded the time between failures for a random sample of 49 disk-drive failures. A summary of the sample statistics was that x-bar = 5,790.36 hours and with sample standard deviation s = 224 hours. Estimate the true mean time between failures with...
