Discuss the requirements of NZ Supply Ltd Information System in order to be able to grow as a
healthy 21 century enterprise and enjoy gain Competitive advantage over its competitors. In your
answer you must analyse and provide the requirements in the following categories:
• Functional Requirements – These define how a product/service/solution should
function from the end-user's perspective. They describe the features and functions
with which the end-user will interact directly.
• Operational Requirements – These define operations that must be carried out in
the background to keep the product or process functioning over a period of time.
• Technical Requirements – These define the technical issues that must be considered
to successfully implement the process or create the product.
• Transitional Requirements – These are the steps needed to implement the new
product or process smoothly.

A requirement is the doccumentaion that contains the information of the product (may be some web application, or entire company) as well as how that product is made available for the customer, how people associated with the product works, workflow of the product from initil development to custmer door-step, etc. On the basis of these factors, requirements are divided in to four categories such as:

  1. Fuctional Requirements: It basically contains Business Rules for the product development, Transaction corrections, adjustments and cancellations, Administrative functions, Authentication, Authorization levels, Audit Tracking, External Interfaces, Certification Requirements, etc.
  2. Operational Requirements: It basically contails Mission profiles, Infrastructure needed, Logistics and maintenance, Responsible party for generating the requirements, Environment factors, etc.
  3. Technical Requirements: It basically includes conception, planning, execution, control and close, etc.
  4. Trasitional Requirements: It basically contains Data conversion, Data migration, User Training (Preparation) and transition, External entities preparations (Eg: customers, vendors, suppliers etc.), Infrastructure changes, Changes to common practices, Changes to the responsibilities provided for users or user groups, etc.
