Answer 1) Cross Docking

Cross dovking is a method in which incoming material is directly is unloaded from incoming truck or big vehicle and loading such material directly into outgoing truck with little or no storage in between.

Cross docking is a viable solution. Thing which is required is the high incoming and outgoing demand to keep the flow of moving truck and big vehicles with no traffic jam at the docks.

Example - Hub and spoke arrangements where Material are taken to one central place and then sorted out for delivering to various location

Consolidation arrangements where variety of small shipments are combined in to one shipments for economy purpose.

Answer 2) Functional Product vs Innovative Product

Functional Product

Functional Products are those products available in wide range of variety. They have low profit margins, long life cycles, predictable demand. Such products do not change over time.

Example - Packed Flour, Regular shoes.

Innovative Product

Innovative products are products which attract customers due to its additional features and new look. Such products gives customers additional reason to buy. Such products have short life cycles, volatile demand and huge profit.

Example - Trending and fashionable clothes & Mobile Phones

In a lab, we are required to make a 100ml solution that contain: 54.30mg/L sodium salicylate, 0.020M FeCl3, 0.050 M HCl. I will also need to create a blank solution that contains 0.020 M FeCl3 and 0.050 M HCI. The blank solution is also 100.00 mL. At the end, we are required to get an absorbance at 520 nm. What should I do to prepare the solutions? Please give detailed instructions. Thank you very much!
