AFI (Analysis-Formulation-Implementation) Frame is a model which
works on three interdependent strategic business task that helps a
firm to improve business results.
It helps Managers and CEO to plan strategy to improve the
performance of the firm.
It has three stages
1- Analyze
2- Formulate
3- Implementation
Analyze
- Perform the Macro-level environment eg: PESTEL
analysis(Political, Economical , Social, Technological ,Environment
& Legal )
- Example - FACEBOOK & Twitter
- to grow its user base they perform analysis and understand
their core competencies
Formulate
- Perform the business level and corporate level strategy .
- Business level strategy includes Integration , Inovation and
strategic enterpreneurship
- Corporate strategy includes diversification ,potential
acquisition alliances.
Implementation
- Implement the analyzed and formulated strategy to achieve
results.
- At this stage managerial skills play important role as the
formulated strategy has to be communicated at organizational
level
- Another important part of implementation is change in
organisational structure. Sometimes it requires some management to
change the managers teams
