Is it reasonable to assume that, as battery technology continues to improve, electric vehicles will have longer and longer ranges? Will these advancements continue on for many years? Will EV ranges get way better than those of internal combustion engine vehicles with time? Explain.
Yes, it is pretty much achievable that the battery technology get advanced so much in the near future that can provide us with longer ranges.
For example you can take Tesla cars which uses the supercapacitor technology to charge the battery fast and during running also it can charge through solar and car body mechanism i.e. conversation of kinetic energy into charge to get stored in the battery.
All of us are well aware that fossil fuels are gonna get depleted sooner or later, thus with the upcoming years more research and advancement will be done in the EVs.
As the technologies are advancing, we can say that the EVs will work much better than internal combustion engines in near future cause the thermal efficiency of such engines is around 40% while electrical motor arrangements can give up to 80-90% efficiency along with no harm to environment. Reasearch is going on right now but many car manufacturing companies claim to achieve the same.
I believe the EVs are our new future that will come to us soon.
