Question 4

Consider the following scenario:

Congratulations! The inventory management dashboard that you designed is a huge success, and has resulted in measurable cost savings. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) has just suggested that you expand the project to include new dashboard reports on accounts payable and accounts receivable. Researching requirements, designing the reports, and implementing the expanded system will be a significant project, so it is important for your reputation that the process is well managed. To be successful, other people will need to be involved and the work they do will need to be defined precisely and approved by appropriate senior managers.

Required

  1. Describe two (2)separate types of testing that will need to be conducted over the course of your project, including the name of the test, the purpose of the test, and who should perform the activity.
  2. Based on your knowledge of the System Development Lifecycle steps, describe how such system could be obtained by the company. Which pathway would you chose if you know that the CFO and other senior executives of the company are following a cost-saving strategy in all business decisions.
