So, when there is high level of team cohesion, there may arise few problems such as limited active participation among the team. If a person mentions one suggestion, no one contradicts and all the other members of the team accepts it without thinking about the alternate possibilities. In such cases, Devil's advocate helps in getting the possible alternatives by creating an arguement in the team.
